I cannot speak highly enough of David with D&R Floors! Before we started our project (replacing the tile in our kitchen and dining areas), we got 3 different bids. David's was the most competitive, but also provided the bests flooring options. He kept me up-to-date through out the entire process, made sure that everything was done perfectly and even swept the entire house to make sure there was no dust for me to clean up when they were done. He went above and beyond, and replaced our trim as well. There were no surprises - everything was done quickly and the cost never changed. I can't wait to work with him again on a different project because our floors look AMAZING and he made the process so incredibly easy! Thank you, David!!

I was in the middle of a ktichen rennovation and everything was complete except the backsplash. The original installers were not helpful at all regarding scheduling although all materials were already delivered and waiting. D&R came out and and did a great job with less than a 2 week turnaround. After weeks of looking at old exposed insulation in the otherwise new kitchen it was a great relief. The installers were courteous and prompt. Most importantly, since we all have to work, they respected the security of my home, supplied a lockbox, and always informed me of arrivals and departures. I definitely recommend their team!

I contacted D&R to replace the wood floor in my kitchen after some water damage. From the beginning I felt the owner seemed less than interested, maybe because it was a small job. I should have listened to that feeling. They came in and did a good job tearing out the damaged wood and putting down the new flooring but then it all fell apart. They selected a stain that did not match without going through any steps to try to do a color match. The stain they used was close but was darker and more brown than the rest of the floor. The owner said the floor would never match exactly because of the age of the existing wood but said they would add a little stain to the finish to try and blend it better with the rest of the room and they proceeded to put down the polyurethane. When the finish dried it was full of bubbles. I called the owner and told him about the issues. Without coming out to look he sent his employee back out to sand and refinish. This time the finish was better, in that there were fewer bubbles, but there were new issues, there were brush fibers or hairs left in the polyurethane. It looked like after the floor was sanded it was not cleaned well before the new finish went down. So again I called the owner and he sent out his employee, not bothering to come out himself. This time the worker spot sanded the affected spots and slapped on more finish, not bothering to tape off and refinish the full length of the affected boards. The repair spots stood out like pimples on a teenager's face. So again I called the owner. Again without bothering to come out and see the quality of the job he told me that "he obviously would not be able to make me happy" so he told me I could keep my final payment and walked away from the job leaving me in a position of having to find someone else to come in and redo the finish on the floor.

James is very courteous, polite, and forthcoming about the costs. However, it was extremely expensive and not entirely worth the money. The tile work needed was just 3 tiles on the skirt of my tub after some plumbing work was done. I had to agree to the cost because I was in a rush to get the job done. James' tile mason came in and did the job within 30 minutes, but was not careful or clean. Firstly, there was some drywall he had to take out before installation. He took out a box cutter and started whacking at the drywall to cut it! When that didn't work out too well, he grabbed one of tiles I provided for installation and started to use it like a hammer against his box cutter! I ended up lending my hammer to him to cut the rest. The whacking even created sparks from the box cutter!Secondly, one of the floor tiles got cut 1mm when cutting the new tiles I provided for installation. When I pointed this out to them, they denied it and stated it was already there. But it was only 1mm so I didn't care too much. He took a bit of grout to cover it up. The point is he is not careful.Thirdly, prior to install, the mason took the bits and pieces of drywall he cut out and put them into the bath tub skirt under the tub. Although it was only a small amount, you don't do that. You sweep it up and throw it in the bin. I guess he didn't care because once the tiles are installed, the garbage within the tub skirt can't be seen. Very unprofessional. Grout mix also splashed against my cabinet and I pointed this out to James. He claimed it was "dust." It was not dust, it was grout mix and I am stuck cleaning it.James then noticed that the floor was dirty, so he pointed to my used bath towel to clean the floor! For some one charging an arm and leg to do the job, I would expect they have the necessary items to clean the place. I'm not going to give you my bath towel to clean up and then wash it and use it for my body! I told him not to worry about, I just wanted them out by that point.Lastly, I gave them a lot of tile to work with including some tile that was pulled out without damage to the tile itself. These folks ended up taking all of it with them. I did not realize this until they left. He never used my pulled out tiles, but they are nowhere to be seen.So I give 3 stars for the work being done quickly and getting the job done, but for the amount they charge, its a pretty shoddy job.

Highly recommend hiring James and his team! James' professionalism and courtesy went above and beyond our expectation and our floors came out beautiful. Thank you James!
